“What’s NEW In My Suitcase” This Month? March Part II

Greetings global citizens, and fellow travelers! I hope this post finds you well. As many of you already know, we kicked off an incredible suitcase series back in January, and to date have reviewed some amazing products together. As a person on the go, I know first-hand how important it is to have the right items in your suitcase. Thus, I count it a privilege and an honor, to take some of the guess work out of packing for you. It is my duty to share ONLY the best and highest of quality products with my readers. So far, we’ve covered everything from healthy snacks for the road, to haircare oil that can tackle any climate. Today’s picks will undoubtedly fit right in with the fantastic list of goodies that have preceded them. Without further delay, let’s jump right in!

NOURISH ORGANIC

Nourish Organic is the creator of these two absolutely fabulous products. I was fortunate enough to test their new face toner, as well as their new eye treatment, and I must say, I was quite impressed with both- a dynamic duo for sure!! All NOURISH ORGANIC items are 100% Natural USDA-Certified Organic, GMO Free, Cruelty Free, and Concern Free. The products are all made in the USA as well.

THE FACE TONER

Details and ingredients

NOURISH ORGANIC face toner has a wonderful, soft floral scent. It’s light and refreshing, and didn’t dry my skin out in any way. Ingredients include; Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Rose Flower, Organic Glycerin, Organic Witch Hazel and Autolyzed Yeast.

The toner comes in a 3.0 fl. oz plastic spray bottle with a cap to simplify the application and transport process – both areas stood out during my review.

1. I first noticed that I used a lot less product each time! I was able to spray directly onto a sponge, or with my (clean) fingers, and rub the product right in. I didn’t have to face a rush of toner gushing out with each application, unlike what occurs with most common screw capped bottles. In fact, it took just a few pumps and I had exactly what was needed. The other positive in this is SAVINGS! The less product used each time, equates to a reduction in spending for toner. If I’m not using as much, I don’t have to purchase as often, and that is always a plus in my book!!  I am certain I will have this bottle nearly twice as long as the others. BRAVO team NOURISH!!!

2. Second, I realized what a fantastic bottle for transport! I can’t tell you all how many times I have opened my suitcase, and well -wrapped liquid items still managed to spill in some way. Not only does this bottle fit perfectly in my inner pocket, but the pump and cap also fit securely, causing greater difficulty for seepage to take place. However, I would still recommend ensuring the cap is tight, and that the bottle is enclosed in a plastic bag in the event of a turbulent flight or bumpy car/train ride. Should some happen to leak through, I’m sure it would be much less than if it were a screw cap bottle. The goal is to protect the valuables in your luggage, so always pack smart. I also found that the compact bottle fits nicely in my toiletry pouch for an easy carry, should I decide against my suitcase pocket. Major KUDOS!!!

EYE TREATMENT

This eye cream has a nice texture. It’s not too greasy, or too watery. It has a smooth consistency and comes in a small, .5 fl. oz. tube, comparable in size to a few of my favorite lip glosses. Application is nearly effortless. You simply remove the cap, and glide the tip just beneath each eye, then rub it in. I found this to be much simpler than having to decide how much creme to scoop out of my other eye creme jars. I’m happy to say that I’ve gotten more rest as of late, so I haven’t battled the under eye “bag attack” much, as of late. However, I’ve regularly applied the NOURISH Eye Treatment, and feel bright eyed, with a fresh face! I like that the product is comprised of a number of hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, and Organic Witch Hazel to name a few. There are many other wonderful ingredients in this product, too.

I applaud NOURISH for their packaging. They really considered the application and use of product with both of these items. Also, their ingredients are amazing. As their tag line reads,”food for healthy skin,” they truly live up to their reputation. My experience has been an extremely positive one. If you are in the market for a new face toner or eye treatment (creme,) I would highly recommend you check these products out. Visit www.nourishorganic.com for more information!

Until next time, pack nothing but the very best, and safe travels!

My March “What’s In My Suitcase?” Pick Part I

Welcome fellow travelers!!! In honor of International Women’s Day (on yesterday,) my first March pick is a product that pays homage to strong women, on a mission for healthy hair across the globe. Today’s feature is on an incredible Ayurvedic product- Arya Hair Oil, by Arya Essentials. The word arya by definition means, “noble, precious and pure” (aryaessentials.com,) derived from its Sanskrit root. Additionally, this Indian “liquid gold” boasts of the ability to strengthen hair, nourish the scalp, and promote hair growth. Thus far, this product appears to live up to its name! Most would agree, that a woman’s hair is her crown of glory- and it’s no different for us women on the go! Throughout our travels, we experience adverse climates and hard water, so we’re always in search of best ways to tackle our travel, hair woes. Having the appropriate products can be the real difference maker when living out of suitcases. I recently became acquainted with this remarkable blend of essential oils, so I’m thrilled to share my experience with all of you! Let’s take a closer look at this March suitcase pick.
Arya Essential hair oil offers the perfect mix of ingredients; coconut, sesame, amla, bhringaraj, fenugreek, lavender, and jasmine. It’s a soft, light amalgamation of oils that is comprised with the Ayurvedic Healing Principles in mind- Ayurveda “believes in the union of the mind, body, and soul. They believe the achievement of this union is necessary for an individual to be whole and balanced” (aryaessentials.com.) The product is also paraben free, GMO free, sulfate free and synthetic fragrance free. The 3.4 fl. oz. spray glass bottle of essential oil comes inside of a beautiful soft blue box, with henna like detail embossed on the front. Upon opening, a fragrant scent of the ingredients immediately fills the air

Arya is easy to apply as part of the pre-shampoo phase.
o Step 1– massage into scalp and hair; leave on for 10-15 minutes, or for deeper conditioning, which I tried, leave on for 30-45 mins, and cover with a shower cap for deep conditioning. This must be done PRIOR to shampooing.
o Step 2– rinse oil out, and proceed with regular shampoo or co-wash regimen.

The instructions suggest using once a week for best results. However, after my initial test, I could detect a slight difference in the glossiness of my hair. Since then, it has increased, and appears to have thickened to some degree. I also appreciated that it didn’t leave my hair feeling overly greasy or weighed down. It was nice and light, and rinsed out easily. I’m still in the process of testing the oil out with various co-wash and shampoo regimens, but I’m happy to say, so far we’ve gotten off to a fantastic start! I also like that it comes in a spray bottle for an almost effortless application. The Arya Essentials Hair Oil gets two thumbs up!!! It fits perfectly in my inner suitcase pocket for transport, and will become a staple for future travels. After this positive experience, I can’t wait to try their body oil! Thank you to the Arya Essentials team for sharing this amazing product with me!
